To provide in this 17th century Farm Cottage the setting and materials to be the Getaway to strengthen today’s marriages as an investment for the blessing of God’s design for marriage relationships for all generations to come.

Located near the village of Intercourse PA and in the finest of prime Lancaster County Farmland, this restored 17th century historical cottage is nestled among beautiful flower gardens, with hundreds of perennial flowers, a sparkling stream, and pond. Some of the finest of the breed Kentucky Mountain Horses and Holstein cattle roam its pastures throughout the year. Relax on the front porch after a busy day and watch the sun sink down in the west. Enjoy the brilliancy of the stars out in the country, and the twinkling of the fireflies on a warm summer night.

Inside the Little Brick Cottage are the old wide plank hardwood floors. Experience the charm of an old fashioned dining room with its cozy fireplace, and in the kitchen there are the old exposed beams in the ceiling making you feel as if you truly have stepped a few centuries back in time. Upstairs there is a full bath and the romantic master bedroom has a queen size bed. Going into the basement you will find two more fireplaces, one is very large that was used for cooking/canning and there is a smaller one beside it. This is a unique cottage and is well known in the area.

Welcome to Garden Time "Get away" Cottage.

Located in the heart of Lancaster County Amish country you can see your Amish neighbors working in the fields and see the buggies clip clopping down the road. Take the time to come over to the Homestead Guesthouse located on the Christian Smucker Homestead and meet your Amish neighbors! You can tag along at chore time and watch the family cow being milked and help gather the eggs feed the horses, and see experience the Amish culture firsthand!
